    The EAVE Producers Workshop is aimed at producers, both fiction and documentary, who are already working in the film and television industries who wish to begin to operate on a European wide basis by increasing their knowledge of producing and co-producing in Europe and beyond, by building up a pan European professional network. EAVE welcomes applications from associated branches of the industry — e. Each year, 50 participants are selected from most of the EU countries and beyond and partake in three one-week workshops.

    Timeline : interviews with a pre-selection of candidates in October ; selection is announced in December ; in three workshops take place in March Luxembourg , June and October Copenhagen. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that EAVE, on the opening day of this year's Producers Workshop, received the very sad news that our friend and mentor, Alan Fountain, passed away earlier that morning.

    The EAVE community would like to express to family our love and admiration for their husband, father, and gradfather; we send our warmest condolesences to them. Alan Fountain initially joined us in , since then actively serving in several positions from Head of Studies to President.

    He worked with over participants — from every corner of Europe as well as many from the rest of the world — doubtlessly changing their careers and affecting their professional lives profoundly. His rich and varied career was dedicated to supporting independent voices from different regions of the world, empowering and encouraging producers, directors and writers to tell stories that not only affect audiences but create positive change. A unique professional, a wonderful listener and a lovely companion, Alan contributed greatly to EAVE's growth, strength and excellence in the last 16 years.

The film is investigating the romantic relationship with all its dependencies and crisis situations against the backdrop of the social realities of Romania and is an adaptation of Cezar-Paul Badescu's novel Luminita, Mon Amour with the script co-written by Netzer and Badescu.

    The film is slated as a thriller, focusing on the character of Jan Verbeek, a former Antwerp police superintendent who has become a strong voice in a populist political party he is a part of. His rise to power on the political landscape, based on his radical speeches, places him at the very heart of the political and police system — which he reigns over until the day his past is once again brought to light.

    Shooting on locations in Berlin and Cologne is planned to last until mid-April. The film focuses on a former policeman who, after a car crash, starts to train a dog, while his marriage is on the verge of collapse as his wife starts dating a considerably younger man.     This concert features traditional percussion music from non-Western cultures. Three combos are featured at each combo night and the event is always very popular. The smaller jazz groups allow improvisers to stretch out more than in big band settings. Typically the programs feature student arrangements and compositions, as well as their unique renditions of historically relevant small group material.

    A sonorous treat not to be missed! Jeff Hamilton is one of the finest drummers in the professional jazz scene today.

    He is the co-leader of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, leads his own trio, and has toured with Diana Krall, recording on several of her CDs and dozens of others under his own name and as a sideman. A pianist of "unerring, warm-toned refinement, revealing judicious glimmers of power," Robert Thies is an artist renowned for his consummate musicianship and poetic temperament. As a Steinway Artist and frequent recitalist in the United States and abroad, Robert has developed a reputation as a "genuine" and "sincere" artist, creating delicately balanced programs and performing in a manner to draw focus to the composer rather than to himself.

    The ensemble brings together performers, composers, and artists across disciplines in experimental sound practices and cross-disciplinary projects and concerts. In our second fall Opera offering, the younger singers present an evening of favorite operatic arias and ensembles. Featuring outstanding CSULB pianists in solo performances of mostly classics by the great composers from eighteenth to the twentieth centuries.
